Osbourne Terrace

The front of this house was removed when long term water damage caused a structural collapse.

We carefully replicated the front elevation and used the opportunity to redesign the rear of the property in order to open up the house for modern living.

The rear yard was incorporated into the house with a lantern roof and the whole ground floor was linked together as a series of rooms. The kitchen became part of the house, whereas before it had been hidden away in the staff quarters. The front patio links to the living room and together they provide an ideal venue for family gatherings and parties.

Equal care was given to the upper floors and at the very top of the house a roof terrace overlooks Douglas harbour and enjoys a sunny aspect all day.
