Ford Cottage

Another use of a glass screen, this time more hidden and intimate, overlooking a river. The new extension had a steel frame that had the added satisfaction of quickly showing the client the space that would be available rather than waiting for brick walls to rise from muddy foundations.

Externally the extension is indistinguishable from the original building, the frame being covered in stone, whilst from the rear it is an all glass structure.

We worked closely with the client on this project to realise their ideas, first with a model and later with photographs, sketches and catalogues.
